Every time I get to spend time outdoors, I experience nature differently and discover fascinating new details. Its incredible diversity amazes me again and again.

It doesn’t always have to be the most spectacular sunset or a unique panorama: often it is the landscapes that seem unremarkable at first glance that reveal the beauty and diversity of nature most clearly.

Outdoors, nature decides the moment. A scene can’t be recreated over and over and perfectly lit like in a studio – miss the moment, and it’s gone ;)

I have always been fascinated by buildings whose architects managed to make the house one with the landscape, to match its materials to the surroundings and to create a work of art with lines and shapes together with nature. I am also drawn to cityscapes, especially in the soft light of sunrise and sunset.

Growing up with a cat, two turtles and later two Labradors, I had the chance early on to get to know the talents and characters of different animals. As a photographer, I am especially drawn to wildlife in its natural surroundings and to characterful portraits.
